Summary: Installation location: Generally installed at 1/3 of the entrance in the middle of the parking space. Installation requires a flat cement surface. Usage: The usage of different types of parking locks varies.

Installation location: Generally installed at the 1/3 point of the entrance in the middle of the parking space. Installation requires a flat cement surface. If the parking space is paved with flower bricks or colored bricks, the thickness of the bricks must be more than 5 cm. If this requirement is not met, a cement prefabricated installation surface can be prepared in advance. The prefabricated area should be determined according to the size of the parking lock.

Installation method: Usually, holes need to be drilled in the ground, and then expansion bolts are driven in to fix the parking lock to the ground. For some punch-free parking locks, they can be installed using adhesive or magnetic adsorption methods, but the stability may be relatively poor.

Usage: The usage of different types of parking locks varies. Manual parking locks require the car owner to manually operate the lifting and lowering of the lock rod; remote control parking locks and smart parking locks can be controlled via a remote control or mobile phone APP. When the vehicle is about to reach the parking space, the car owner controls the parking lock to lower to the lowest position, and the vehicle can then drive in. After the vehicle drives into the parking space, the parking lock is raised to the protective state; the induction parking lock does not require manual operation. As long as the vehicle's identification card is successfully paired with the parking lock, automatic locking and unlocking can be achieved.

Types of Parking Locks

Manual Parking Lock

Features: Relatively low price, simple structure, mainly controlled by manually operating the lifting and lowering of the lock rod. Requires the car owner to get out of the car to operate, which is inconvenient, especially in bad weather.

Common styles: There are O-type, K-type, T-type, A-type, etc. Among them, the O-type manual parking lock is more common. Its shape is like a capital "O", and the lifting and lowering of the lock rod is controlled by rotating the lock core.

Remote Control Parking Lock

Features: The car owner does not need to get out of the car and can control the lifting and lowering of the parking lock from inside the car via a remote control, which is convenient and quick, basically solving the trouble of getting in and out of the car to operate. Some remote control parking locks also have functions such as "one-time charging for one year of use", 360° collision prevention, and whole-machine waterproofing.

Common styles: There are O-type, X-type, U-type, etc. The O-type remote control parking lock is similar in appearance to the O-type manual parking lock, but with added remote control function; the X-type remote control parking lock is in the shape of an "X" when raised, and has better stability; the U-type remote control parking lock is like an inverted "U", and has a certain anti-collision performance.

Smart Parking Lock

Features: Also known as cloud smart parking lock, it is currently the most intelligent type of parking lock, and all work procedures are completed by the main board control. It can be connected and controlled with charging piles, computers, mobile phone APPs, WeChat mini programs, etc., to realize remote control, parking space sharing and rental, intelligent lock reset, intelligent anti-collision, waterproof and pressure-resistant functions.

Common styles: Diverse appearance, some are similar to remote control parking locks, but are more intelligent in function, while others adopt unique designs, such as hidden smart parking locks, which are flush with the ground when not in use, do not affect the passage of other vehicles, and are raised when in use via mobile phone APP control.

Induction Parking Lock

Features: It adopts radio frequency identification technology (RFID) or other induction technology to achieve automatic locking and unlocking through a specific vehicle identification card. When the vehicle approaches the barrier, the barrier will automatically lower; when the vehicle leaves a certain distance, the barrier will automatically rise, realizing the automated operation of "the lock rises when the car comes, and the lock lowers when the car leaves", suitable for high-frequency use and occasions with high automation requirements.

Common styles: Usually consists of a control box and a barrier. The control box contains induction devices and circuit systems, while the barrier is used to prevent vehicles from entering the parking space.
